Say Hello to a Healthier Life!

“Life is not merely being alive, but being well” Marcus Valerius Martialis

Have you ever wondered if there’s more to life? Or whether you’re giving yourself every opportunity to find happiness and success? We certainly have.

One of the things that make our lives so exciting and challenging is that we’re all so unique and different. What drives or satisfies one person, could be completely different for the person next to them. It’s what makes us special and enables us to continually learn about others and the world around us.

A core believe we have is our collective role to cherish and nourish our life in order to live the most fulfilling, incredible and valuable life that we can whilst also supporting others around us to do the same.

In order for us to do that, whether our aspirations are to raise and care for our family, to be an elite athlete or whatever else you could envisage, we need to maintain a certain level of physical and mental health to be our best selves. Importantly and due to a myriad of reasons, there is no one size fits all approach to health and well-being however one thing is consistent in that there is always room for improvement.

We won’t bore you with detailing all the benefits of healthy living as chances are that if you’re reading this, you already have an interest in leading a healthier lifestyle. Despite being aware of the benefits, our way of living and the intensity at which life demands on us, means we’re constantly challenged in maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Whether it’s the extra hours in the office affecting your ability to be physically active or the stress you feel from a to-do list that never ends, life has its own way of affecting your health and these challenges continue to increase as a result of our lifestyles.

That’s where we come in. This is the first of many articles that will provide you with simple, easy to implement changes that will help you lead a healthier lifestyle which will  encompasses all the important elements you need to achieve balance – we believe being emotionally and spiritually healthy is as important as physical and financial health and vice versa.

As this is our introductory article, we’re going to start small and work our way through positive change incrementally. As we move forward on the journey, we’ll focus more deeply on each of the four elements in order to provide life changing options to live a healthier life.

For this week, here’s some quick wins for you to try:

Emotional

  • Over the next week, get an extra 30 minutes of sunlight (on top of what you would normally) – this can be broken into smaller daily chunks or be done all in one day.

Financial

  • Buy a small gift for someone you love and surprise them with it – it should take no more than 5 minutes to buy and cost less than $10. Take note of their reaction when you give this to them.

Physical

  • Spend an extra 10 minutes this week in the bathroom – whether washing your hair, having a bath, or moisturising your face, this time should be spent solely on you.

Spiritual

  • Spend 5 minutes making a list of things you are grateful for – aim for 10 items or more.

We would love to hear how you went with these or any other thoughts you have. Feel free to reach out to us on any of our social media channels.
